Jes Alexander joined Fletcher Farley Shipman & Salinas as an associate attorney in 2011, where he is a member of the firm’s Appellate practice group. He has over seven years of experience in insurance coverage, appellate litigation, and insurance defense. His appellate experience includes cases before the Supreme Court of Texas, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, and numerous intermediate courts of appeal.

Additionally, Jes has extensive experience prosecuting and defending complex coverage matters on behalf of insurance carriers and policy holders in state and federal court, including bad faith claims. He has drafted nearly one hundred coverage opinion letters regarding commercial general liability, property, fidelity bonds, bankers bonds, excess/umbrella, commercial and personal auto, worker’s compensation, employer’s liability, professional liability, environmental, reinsurance, directors and officers, protection and indemnity, and bumbershoot liability coverage.

Jes is actively involved in the legal community, and is a member of the American Bar Association Tort Trial and Insurance Practice Section, and the State Bar of Texas Insurance and Appellate Law Sections. He is also a member of the Dallas Hispanic Bar Association.

Jes attended Boston University School of Law where he participated in Jessup Moot Court and was Note Editor of the International Law Journal. Prior to law school, Jes graduated cum laude from Tulane University in New Orleans with a BA in Political Science in three years.
